I absolutely agreed that they botched it AGAIN. First is the rate error, then it is the 3 weeks without the official notification, and now it is making known everyone single person's email address. What a way to do business on the web.
Here is the text from the Word document:
Dear Sir / Madam
We have noted that you recently made a reservation through Starwoodhotels.com for our property, Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa.
Due to a technical error relating to the currency format, the promotion that you booked, Endless Escape, showed a value of 10,000cfp per night for an Overwater Bungalow instead of the correct rate of 100,000cfp. Once we were alerted to this error, the rate was withdrawn until the problem was rectified.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this situation and for the time it took to contact you on this matter. Our goal has been to advise everyone as quickly as possible, and despite the unprecedented response caused by this error, we wanted to make every effort to contact each guest individually.
As the rate of 10,000cfp per night was incorrect, we regret that we are unable to honor this price. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we are happy to offer you an exclusive, special rate of 69,000cfp plus taxes per night. This presents 40% off of the rack rate of an Overwater Bungalow and 31,000cfp off of the retail rate of the Endless Escape promotion.
Please contact us at
[email protected] or at 689 864849 to acknowledge receipt of this letter and if we can assist you with any questions you may have regarding your reservation.
Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to welcoming you to French Polynesia.
Yours sincerely,
Fabrice Bobhote
