About five minutes after getting off the plane, I realised my mistake. But I was not allowed to go back on the plane for “security reasons”, which is understandable. Since then, I’ve contacted LH Lost & Found and explained exactly where the item was.

Now I’m not getting much back from them, simply an email to say they are searching. Given that it’s unlikely that another passenger has taken it - they would’ve had to reach across to the window seat, dip their hand in the pocket and take it, while others were watching – I’m assuming that the item has been found by the ground crew/cleaning team.

Anyone know what the process / timing is for getting such items back from LH? Or where I can find this info?
