I suspect that promising me points was her way of getting me out the door without having to honor MR's Ultimate Guarantee. Fortunately, I had read
doctor15's June 2010 FT thread Plat Walked from FI / Ultimate Reservation Guarantee prior to this happening, so I was ready when they were not able to honor the reservation. I kept a copy of the voucher letter, so that be adequate proof that I actually showed up at the RI. I also called MR's 800 number the afternoon it happened, so there should be a record in their system about me calling about having been walked.
If the certificates and check don't show up, I will just mail a complaint to the corporate office and/or email Elliott. (It is not really an "Ultimate" Guarantee if I have to nag a GM to get it, is it?)
