I always thought it referred to the Chilean Peso?
And it's not who's outperforming, it's who's worth more. For example, one Chilean Peso is currently worth $0.0021... Regardless of who's outperforming who, I'd still rather have $1 than $0.0021.
If you disagree, I have a business proposition for you. The Chilean Peso is currently outperforming the Euro. I'll gladly trade you 1 million Pesos for 1 million Euros.
