Consider the Outer Banks, NC. It's small, quaint, and beachy. Not too much to do besides nature and the beaches, but great place to just hang out in a house.

Depending on the season, you can get a house of that size for 1.5-4K/week. I was there for a week in May last year and our house around that size was 1.8K.
