I checked in yesterday and so far a great experience.

I am staying for 3 nights - A consultant’s schedule ^

After giving my name to check in, I was recognized as a Plat customer and offered my 500 bonus points. After that, I was handed an envelope for three vouchers for continental breakfast at the Jamieson Grill. I was also told about lounge access.

I didn't get an upgrade but have a nice corner room. I tried the breakfast this morning and it was perfect for me. They offered some breakfast pastries, juice, coffee, and fresh fruit. Tomorrow I am going to try to substitute the pastries for some toast.

So far I am really happy with my stay. I was staying at the Westin in DC and while they offered excellent service, the hotel was not as updated as Alexandria.
