I’m looking to see which option you guys think would be best in my situation. I’m trying to decide which credit card would be best for me. I live in PDX and most of my travel is going to be up and down the west coast with annual trips to MSY, BTR or alt airports such as IAH and a long drive. I’m not nearly a collector of miles as the rest of the crew here so what is most important to me are companion fares. I know Alaska and Delta offer buy-one-get-the-second one for $99 every year. I see American and United offer companion fares, but what I don’t know is if those companion fares are every year or just the first year. Secondly, once I have it figured out which credit cards do offer companion fares (I’m open to all credit card ideas), of those credit cards, which ones are the easiest to redeem miles in the future? What you guys think?
