A Platinum Card account can have "up to five" supplementary Gold cards added for a single annual fee of $45. It likely that you would have to close the Gold account and request the supplementary Gold card(s), which would have a different account number. This won't be exactly the same as having a separate Gold card account because charges made with supplementary cards will appear on the Platinum card statement.

The $3.84 is a prorated refund of the $40 Membership Rewards fee that you had been paying.
