The room did not feel cramped at all. I would have been very happy to stay in one of these as they were so well thought through.
I just stayed in one of the Deluxe Kings. Would absolutely recommend going at least for Deluxe or Premier over Standard/Superior. I've been inside the latter two and the difference in size and mostly experience is quite significant in my view. The walk-in closet leading to the bathroom adds a lot of space and cachet to the room.
Oustanding quality furnishings and finishing. Desk set up as mentioned great. Bedside table lamps can be dimmed. Very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom, great shower.
Small things that I was surprised to see though - sliding door to the bathroom does not close by a long shot, leaving a gap of several inches on each side, meaning no (sound) privacy whatsoever.
Single vanity. There was a waste basket on the floor which didn't fit between the vanity and the glass partition next to the toilet, so it sit sorts of smack bang in the middle of the room in front of the vanity, meaning you easily knock it over when you move about and the bin and what is in it is consistently in your line of sight when you are in the bathroom.
Loved the look and ambiance of the hotel - the various spaces of Amaranto are beautifully done. Some vibrant red which I liked, great artwork. Everything so sparkly new, but yet feels well put together and not too pre-arranged.
Like stimpy, some service issues that I wrote off to it being a week old, but those need to be improved. Two RR Ghosts as house cars. Spa will be spectacular, the hydro pools look fantastic. Gym is small, but a nice view. The 10th floor lounge will be a nice feature for North American guests arriving early. Can be rented for private functions.
I'd be interested to know from stimpy or anyone else that stayed here how they experienced noise levels at night. I was high up but heard everything from street level: bellhop whistling for a cab, Ferraris pulling out of the driveway, sirens, the cars down Park Lane - and not as in a distant muffled sound. Anyone?
Vuittons, I take it from your quote above you have not stayed the night yet? I would support your comment though, Deluxe is an extremely comfortable size, did not feel like I needed more at all. Premier from what I can see is equal but improved view.
Any particular questions I can answer, please ask.
