Many thanks to Diana for posting the decision of the resort while I was away.

My understanding is that they are offering a rate that is 40% off the RACK rate for people holding these mistaken rate reservations. Everyone will be contacted by the Central Reservations Office in Tahiti, but it may take some time for this to be accomplished.

What to do if you have already been contacted and been asked to call them back? Well, the most decisive approach would be to do just that. One could argue that once they call you (and phone records will support the fact that they did) then they are "off the hook", so to speak. If long distance charges are a concern, you could communicate via fax at +689-603-301 perhaps asking them to email you concerning the rates they are offering.

If you are not contacted by January 6, 2003, I would call Customer Care at 1-800-328-6242 or send them an email at [email protected] to let us know.
