Not doing so is simply false advertising. I'm glad you loved the hotel, and am sure it is on it's way to greatness, but this lack of communication is really not acceptable at this level.
I just looked at the website and you are right - it does suggest that the spa is open. Having checked, I knew that the spa was delayed by 3 weeks, so was not expecting it to be open. I always check these things with the hotel when it is a soft opening.
