I had a few times getting RDMs and EQMs by giving up my confirmed seats redeemed by miles due to oversold situation and being rebooked in revenue fares, on UA. But sometimes I didn't get the RDMS nor EQMs even I was rebooked into Y or F shown on .bomb. There might be some glitch in .bomb.
So YMMV.
