Hi,
Have booked VS ticket LHR-NRT-LHR. Its NH metal both ways (NH 201/202).

On VS website, I can choose mileage card - VS, Continental, USAir, etc are options, but not Mileage Plus.

I am planning to present my United 1K card when I check in, I'm pretty sure I'll get the lounge, etc as usual based on my 1K (I fly NH quite a bit with UA mileage card). But being on VS ticket, I wonder if UA will give me miles?

ps - reason for VS ticket is it was $2,000 compared to $4,000 on NH.
