You could do a basic LON-LAX-SYD-NYC-LON on BA/QF for around GBP1500 all in on an S fare. One stop allowed each direction.
This compares quite favourably with the more traditional and cheaper (?) routing via the eastern hemisphere.
This would earn 30x4 = 120 TPs.
Then add whatever you like within the US.
