I flew JER-LGW-JER about 15 times in total last year so am very familiar with the 734 fleet! The majority of them are actually in relatively good condition, except for DOCT which was a right mess the last time I flew on it! Next weekend I am going with Flybe to LGW (first time for a good year and a half) and am looking forward to seeing how the E190's compare.
I personally think the 734's have quite a bit of life left in them, and as BA are fitting the space saver seats from rows 14-26 they must be planning to keep them for a while. The 734's need a bit of a scrub up, then they will be fine. I would expect to see the older ones like DOCA and DOCB leaving first. I am surprised that the BUS* 320's did not get sent to LGW for a year or so!
