Cancelled Ticket w/AC
New member, forgive me if I don't have all the acronyms right.
I've purchased an AC exec lowest (Z fare?) from YYZ-LAS-YYZ.
Since this is a "non-refundable" fare, if I end up cancelling my trip and I get credit with AC... I'm assuming the following:
1. Air Canada keeps that on record (for 1 year max) until I decide to fly again.
2. I have to pay a $75 change fee when I use that credit to book my next flight.
My questions:
-Can this credit be split up? i.e. used on 2 or 3 short-haul return flights or does it have to be used on one return flight? Similarly, can I split the credit up and use it to buy two return tickets for 2 pax on the same flight (if the value is less?)
-If I have to use it all on one return trip and just for me only, can it be to any destination I choose, not necessarily LAS? Can it be used by a family member?
-If I choose to use it for an overseas flight does only the value of the actual ticket get transferred? What if the flight "cost" is less, the "taxes and fees" are more, but the overall value of my new flight is still the same or less than the original price paid?
Thanks so much for any help!
