For the most part, yes, they're comparable. The AA 757 seats get a fair number of complaints because they're old (tho some have been refurbished). All CO planes are newish. If per chance AA is using an Int'l 757 ("75L" I think) with only 16 F seats on the map, then that would be your better choice.
