Hopefully a low-probability event given the timing of upgrades, but it sure would make me nervous.
<shrug> then you should have gifted your companion your 2P or 1P elite choice. Mrs. mre5765 has had 3P or 2P every year I've been a 1K except one year when UA had a rule that existing 3Ps could not be gifted 3P. That year I made sure both our kids had 3P to cover the bases.
