Started watching the second one and thought I would be cringing with embarrassment (just I did with Kelly Osborn & Gail porter) but it was surprisingly good, kudos to the researchers! Best introduction to manzai I've seen on tv.
Manzai is untranslatable, more to do with timing and rhythm and the build up and release of tension and plays on meaning and references to popular culture than to actual jokes, Justin never stood a chance! Shame they didn't find him a manzai arcade game to practice on where you have a manzai sidekick dummy that you have to whallop with precise comic timing in a twist to the guitar hero (or taiko drum) games.
Btw, if you do go looking for the bar with the masked macaque, it's in Utsonomiya which is nowhere near Osaka.
The ninja/magic show restaurant is in tokyo and has been reviewed in this forum. Consensus being that the food isn't up to much and its pricey.
I was impressed with the service Justin received at that dungeon restaurant, seemed a more 'wholesome' experience than going to an Akihabara maid cafe.
the body suits are easy enough to find, any Tokyu Hands will have them.
