No one writes in to say what a great job you did, they only write in to complain about tsomething that may or may not have been in your control and believe me you hear about it.
...or if someone on the crew went out of their way, write in about it or call customer service. People complain about flight attendants but sometimes I wonder how any of them can do all the things they have to do to do the job well when most of your good deeds go unnoticed.
Lesli, welcome to FT. You should know there are a goodly portion of us out here that make a point of writing in each and every time superior service is received. I have a copy of every compliment letter I've written over the last 10+ years and the total is closing in on 50 letters (that is not even counting the cardboard comment cards that used to be in the back of CO magazine, I used to give them directly to the crew member and tell them to photocopy before turning in so they had something at review time).
Yes, I've written a few complaint letters too. But the ratio is miniscule in comparison to the compliments...
