Try overcharging...your bank will decline further transactions because your available balance is updated in real-time. The bank may let you exceed your available balance but most are very careful about doing that these days due to financial uncertainties. It happened to me once overseas and since then I have instituted an alert system that let's me know when my CC (not debit card, although I implemented that too) balance reaches a certain limit.
