Authorized = "reserved" in you CC (essentially decreasing your limit) but not requiring payment; will automatically disappear if not confirmed as charge
Charged= will be on you statement when it comes out, need to be paid
So in a sense the airlines have the ability to hold your money (as ransom?) before providing a ticket, yes?
