Angry Air Canada surcharges much more then other carriers on Aeroplan
Booked Toronto to Vienna the other day on Aeroplan

The following is a break down of the award costs for an Economy seat.

60,000 Points + 125 CAD - direct flight on Austrian
60,000 Points + 167 CAD - connecting flights on Lufthansa through Frankfurt
60,000 Points + 509 CAD - connecting flights on Air/Canada & Lufthansa through Frankfurt

Air Canada is really price gouging compared to the other carriers on rewards!!!

It seems crazy that the same route through Frankfurt would cost $342 more if an Air Canada flight was chosen over strictly using Lufthansa through the same hub.

I''ll be definitely trying to avoid using my Aeroplan points on Air Canada in the future and stick to the other carriers if this continues.
