Good M/A/E everyone!
My apologies for not checking in sooner (I realize I have not done so since the LIH Prem DO). It has been a hectic week, but alas preparations for the move are done and we will go to SAN tonight and fly over to Maui on Saturday.
Let me go back to the DO for a moment and say what great fun it was, and what a fantastic job the organizers did with restaurant selection (A+), bling, and transportation!
When I left SFO after the DO, even as a lowly AS MVP, I scored the F upgrade on the only 2-class CRJ I flew that day, and darn near got the bump on the SLC-LGB leg as well! The GA's tried really hard to get me a bump, letting me board last whilst holding my exit row seat, but when all was said and done, they were neither overweight nor overbooked. I love SkyWest operated DL gates- they really have some great people at SLC.
When I returned,
MrsBobSgt had not sold off all of my tools as I had hoped (she won't drop a price as quickly as I will) so there was still a lot of things to go, and that took until Wednesday night. I spent last night packing the luggage, which is a real change because we have not checked more than one bag (and always on a return) in years. Tomorrow, I will check FOUR. It kind of creeps me out...
My lowly MVP status has upgraded my seat on AS889 tomorrow (SAN-OGG) to 2F, so you know what that means- MrsBobSgt will be in F while I take her exit row seat. (Before I split the PNR for my upgrade, I put her in the exit row window, and myself in the middle knowing that my upgrade was in the bag. Once the PNR split, it left her in the window, and my middle seat empty.
I have not been reading anything here do to time constraints, but Barbara has kept me up with the
Friendly Skies snow updates from his Face-a-majig page, which often includes comments related to his travels as well so I have not gone through Post-FT withdrawals yet...
I may try to catch up with this thread tonight. But I should have Clear 4G equipment waiting for me in Makawao, so I will get caught up soon!
Take care everyone. I miss the lot of you!
