Just wondering if anyone on FT can tell me whether they have much success in upgrading on flights between YVR and HKG? I am booked next week and the KVS tool is showing just 2 C/J seats left so it's not looking too good at this point. Also does anyone know if the upgrade request needs to be re-booked at the 24 hour prior to the flight stage? I thought I read somewhere that AC was doing away with this and that the request would be in the hopper at the Gate as well.
YEG Guy and I upgraded both ways last September. He was an E and I was still a pleb. However, that is irrelevant, given your situation.
Unless they open R space before tomorrow (which is unlikely) you will be waitlisted. If you don't clear before T-24 hours, you will need to request to be put on the list again at check-in.
