Looking for some help form the WN Chase Card Holder gurus.

Went to get 15% off code. Enter Chase RR CC #. "Not a Sig. Card"
Call Chase.

Me: I signed up for card in 2003. Have always paid $59/yr. (vs. $39). Sig. card is $59, either Personal or Business. Classic card is $39. Used card 1 yr. ago to get free Fandango movie tix thru special offer for "Visa Sig. Card Holders, only".

Chase: You don't (& never have had) a Sig. Card. You have a "Platinum" card.

Me: What's a Platinum card? It's not even an option on the WN RR Chase CC Terms & Agree. site for requesting a card.

Chase: It's what you have.

Me: My card always said "Visa Signature" on it prior to your replacing a lost card about a year ago. I think there's been an error. I'd like to talk to a supervisor.

Chase: You never had a Sig. Card. Doesn't matter anyway because you'll be re-issued a new card in Mar. (as part of RR 2.0, I assume) that will be $69/yr. but you'll be grandfathered in at $59...........

Me: Fine. I don't see how that resolves this issue at all. I need the Sig. that I've always had in order to save 15% NOW. I'll call WN.

I call WN. As helpful as they can be given that the problem is really with Chase. They're having an account specialist request info from Chase. They see the sudden uptick in my credit earnings beginning in the late summer & fall of 2004--when I signed up & began to use the card almost exclusively--BUT my card now says "Member since 2002". I think Chase "convered" another acct. without my knowledge or consent and "downgraded" in the same manner.

Awaiting info from WN Acct. specialist.

I'll be calling Chase in a few hours to verify request from specialist & to demand that card be reissued immediately as a Sig. card.

Any other thoughts or advice on how to proceed?
