Well, no problem at YVR with the shaper tips, but they did seem to have a problem with my reed cane (below is a link to photo of what reed cane is)

It is fragile and if not soaked in water, snaps like a twig.

the most nutty thing about my trip through security was the fact that they had no problem with my dog's choke chain and leash that was in my carry on baggage. Not even a second glance. I was told by the security guy that cleared my dog's crate that it would be fine in my carry-on and I even questioned him on it and he said really it would be no problem. Theatre indeed.

Well, I'm off through YUL tonight, so we shall see what wild adventure that will be. I think my biggest fear right now is my very limited French and locating my dog at CDG.
