LAX homestyle Japanese food

Otafuku
16525 S Western Ave
Gardena, CA 90247

Hands-down best handmade soba in the US.
If you are Japanese and miss home, if you like Japanese comfort food like katsudon and tamagoyaki, or if you just love soba, you must go to Otafuku.

It's in a fairly sketch part of Gardena, so don't go if you're looking for decor. You can't get in through the front door (facing Western Ave) either, so park behind the restaurant. From Western Ave, turn onto 166th St. and swing into the first alley on your right. In the alley, Otafuku will be the second parking lot, and the kitchen door will be open. Walk through the kitchen and you'll find yourself in a nice, open, and clean dining room, and inside one of my favorite restaurants of LA
