Decided to add a 3 day stay at Princeville to a week at the Orchid - now I wish I had stayed where I was!

Arrived at the hotel to find several pieces of construction were underway. Was woken by noise at 6:40a yesterday and 8:00a today. Asked the front office manager to do something about it - she said she would look into it and get back to me but never did. Mind you she is working 12 hour days on the valet parking stand.

The work is scheduled to continue until Dec 20th

Of the 53 nights I have stayed at Starwood so far this year as a Plat - this is the only place I had to ask for an upgrade.

I have stayed here twice before in the last 5 years and it was perfect, which is why I came back - now it seems complacent and ineffectual.
