Interesting that in-transit passengers are allowed to stay in the terminal but not allowed to sleep.
I understand the rule regarding sleeping in the terminal for morning flight originating passengers; but, in-transit seems like a different ballgame. Obviously not, at least now. But KEF is rapidly becoming a 24 hr airport, as you know.
Getting a room nearby, even if reasonable, seems like a waste for such a short time (in 1am, 5am). But now I can factor that into my planning.
