So my family and I were on the PDX-SJD flight on 1-20-11. My son and i were in 6D/F, with my wife and two daughters in 7D-F. Once in SFO we had to deplane as per ICE rules or some such nonsense. 45 minutes later upon re-boarding, my BP errored at the podium. They sent me to the TA and a minute later my son trots up behind me saying his didn't work either. Upon printing our new BP's I find we are seated in 26 and 27 middle seats. I ask why is a Gold being moved to the back of the plane when I clearly had a confirmed seat to SJD. No explanation, they did put us back in row 6 but now were were center seat. I was fuming because the people that had taken our seats were a married couple in D/F. I thought maybe it was an air marshal but the Jack Daniels he ordered cleared that assumption.

So I ask why would I get moved! Even if he was a 75K'r would they move a Gold!!!

I was pissed so I called AS CS and they apologized and gave me 3K miles as a sorry.

On the upside, SJD-PDX had the whole family upgraded to FC in SFO...that was nice for two 6 year old girls to sleep 5 hrs past bedtime, nice big seats. Some times it really good to be Gold
