Haven't read the entire thread so forgive me if this has been addressed, but if Hilton Diamond means something to you, you should get the Hilton AMEX as they have very preferred award rates (AXON). We will be staying at the Conrad Tokyo in September for 4 nights. The AMEX means we will pay 145,000 points rather than 200,000 - very significant improvement!
