Courtyard Waikiki comments

We just completed a two night stay here as a stopover between MCVI stays at Ko'Olina and Kauai. We were able to use two cat 4 certificates to book a "deluxe" guest room. We are platinum level. Our room was on the 15th floor in the main tower overlooking the pool. We were offered a "slightly smaller" room with a bit of an ocean view on the 16th floor. Thanks to the info from this thread, we declined. The room, 1504, was very spacious with bar sink, micro, refrig, coffee machine and table and chairs for two. Dinnerware was brought up on request. The bathroom was large and strangely laid out but we used the extra space to store luggage. The shower was very small. The room was an odd shade of green and it was apparent that this was an older, non Marriott built property.
Location was fine. We were able to participate in the 6 block long ProBowl Block Party the evening we were there. This location fit our needs for a two night stay between wonderful MVCI vacation weeks. Anyone visiting Hawaii for the first time or celebrating a special occasion should research their options for a different hotel and be willing to spend a bit more and find a location that will make their visit a memorable one. I had planned to submit this as a trip report in another thread but here it is. Ko'Olina was outstanding and Kaui Beach Club is different. The landscaping here is unique and wonderful, I'm not so pleased with the KBC rooms.
