yes, it really does depend on what you are looking for. The RI is on the beach. The Vinoy is one of the greatest properties. The location in downtown St Pete is hard to beat. Plenty of amenities within walking distance. For the RI, lots to drive to around the Bay area. Great spa at the Vinoy also.

Or if you are looking for an urban feeling, Tampa Marriott Waterside is in downtown Tampa, on the channels of the bay. NO water access, except pool. You could then drive to the beaches. Great spa at the Waterside also. Plenty of restaurants and some entertainment options in Tampa and Ybor City (part of downtown).
