That's exactly what I mean.
You only get the bonus miles if you happen to run out of credit on public transport. So basically you have to use up the balance at the supermarket, make sure you cross the limit at the exact moment you board the MRT, then go back to the supermarket to run down the balance next to zero, then use public transport again, etc.
This has to be the most inconvenient way of doing your shopping.
