New York City is clear and cold. No sign of rain or snow. Sitting in my hotel suite in Queens I can see the lights on the 59th Street Bridge and the buildings across the river in Manhattan. EWR was messy with slush and sporadic drizzle around noon when I got in (PORTER, 14 passengers) but roads into NYC were in good shape. The real problem in this city is that they still haven't cleared away much of the snow from the last few falls and the streets are caked with melting and freezing snow, cars still embedded in snow drifts! No reason to have shut down LGA this afternoon or cancel flights, but guess they wanted to err on the cautious side of things.
Will be interesting to see what happens over night and through tomorrow. Have an AC flight back from EWR Thursday afternoon.
