I thought they did, but they probably can't hear their how loud or soft they are in the back unless if an FA tells them.
I really like information from the pilot about where we are and what we are doing. My last flight, SEA-ANC, the weather was nice and clear. That route has amazing scenery when it's not cloud covered. The captain was giving updates along the entire route about interesting sights, such as mountains, and historical items like a island that was changed due to the 1964 earthquake. I can understand how some may not like that, but I do.
Correct the F/A's need to provide input...
