Never, ever, ever in my life will I ever make the mistake again of even REMOTELY comparing HHonors to SPG.

Starwood's program is so far superior in my opinion that I'd use up Flyertalk's bandwith writing it all down.

Give 20 stays to Starwood, you get Platinum status and really, really nice treatment. In my case, it's a suite upgrade about 80% of the time.

Give 20 stays to Hilton, you'll still only be Gold....the same Gold that everyone else has been COMPED. I've been Diamond with Hilton and have trouble getting the benefits out of them.

Hilton doesn't get it. Starwood does.
