I always enjoy stopping at Bahia Honda State Park. Mile marker 37. Good place to streach the legs with a nice walk, take a dip in the clear water, and look around at the old US 1 bridge. Other activities are available and there is a small visitor center with information. Fee of $8 for one vehicle.

I too have stopped here many times. I used to drive from Miami to Key West when sis lived there. I had my 2 children with me, so it was a very welcome spot to stop. Especially since we were flying in from New Hampshire!!!!
OK, the kids used to make me stop at Shell Shack too, but I wont suggest that!
