So, the OP and GF can afford to purchase a new pet, but can't afford, or do not choose to, acquire the appropriate supplies to care for the pet? It really makes me wonder if the pet is truly in an appropriate environment. Sounds like the pet will be destined for a shelter in a few months, when they get bored of it and can't find any other low-cost sources of pet supplies

Hey, is there anything in the snack basket that's appropriate for dogs? I know they're allergic to chocolate, but how about the Sun Chips, or the apples, or the bananas? Perhaps the new pet owners can save on food as well as bedding
