Bit of a quandry at the moment... Have been a Delta Diamond, but Delta pulled out of my market on January 4th of this year, forcing me to drive an hour further to the next airport. At this airport, it opened up the option of switching to UA.

Inquired with UA and they status matched me to 1P (15K miles in 90 days), they did it automatically when I inquired so the CLOCK IS TICKING. I have until late march to complete the challenge and so far I only have 2K miles as I have been flying DL itineraries that where already booked.

My question is, what will I miss by leaving Delta, but what are the better perks at UA? I would hopefully switch, make 1P and move on to 1K later in the year. My biggest perk wish is upgrades as I fly overseas about 8-10 a year.

I don't have a lot of complaints with DL, I have been loyal to them, but this change in airports is forcing me to look at other options, and UA is very enticing, I just need to hurry up and make up my mind.
