We fly CI J from BNE to TPE using the current A330 layout. J on CI is a great deal being much cheaper than any other airline's J. However, it is only just business class and any further watering down of the benefits would need to be accompanied by a price reduction.

Hopefully they only deploy this new layout on short haul flights. It would be a bit of a slap in the face for J customers on long haul flights.
