My young niece is travelling Lufthansa - Sao Paulo/Frankfurt/Bangalore (India). She is buying her tkt online and theres a two hour transit at Frankfurt. Usually this should be ample time to catch the next flight. Often though flts start late from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the two hour transit time is just not enough and you miss the onward flight. Should this happen the next available flight to India is the following day. Should there be this sort of delay would she have to overnight at the airport on her own expense or would Lufthansa provide her with a hotel for the night. She will be travelling economy. Would appreciate any information.
