I didn't get the impression that the animal was with the PAX, but that they had no alternative for a blanky for the new pet other than what DL was generously providing. But alas! 2 of the blankys were US Air, which may not be good enough for pupsie
My interpretation as well....
Now we know why US and other carriers have removed blanlets and pillows....
Besides, if you are going to take blankets, the US one's in the domestic Envoy cabins used to be nice wovens with US embroidered on them. Those make great momentos... Not the nasty red and blue ones on DL....
