I have had this problem on more than half my stays (40+). Luckily, I have a great personal platinum concierge who takes care of me.
This is one of the primary reasons why I will continue to stay with Starwood and spend my $$$ there! I know if I have any problems, I can talk to someone who will take care if it--usually within 24 hours. In contrast I’m waiting on 425,000 miles to post to my KLM account--I've been waiting for 8 months with no response from them.
