I had mixed feelings about Bal Harbour. The location was nice. Room was ok - I don't think they have heavenly beds, the bathroom was nice. I had a mixed experience with customer service. I'm gold and asked on check-in for a room with a good view and got one overlooking the parking. I went back to front desk and the agent apologized, gave me a better room and commented that he did not know why I was given my initial room. The hotel had lots of vacancy then. Parking was very expensive there (about $17/day). The web site says that there are resort charges, but I was not charged them.
