Yes, the taxi into T8 seems like it takes an eternity. Add to that when the approach takes the a/c out over Long Island and back to JFK and the "we should be a few minutes early tonight" from the Captain eventually turns into a 20 minute late arrival. Of course, followed by pulling up to Gate 33 or 35.

I've noticied that even late at night with not many a/c around AA pilots still move at a very slow pace.
