I just grow tired of story after story of Marriott's failing to pay plats when not given the arrival gift. I myself allowed myself to get snookered a couple months ago.

Pointed out to the MOD that they hadn't offered gift (after a return trip to the front desk a few hours after check in), and she said "Oh, he already gave you the points." I let it go.

Next time I'm making a stink. Sorry to thread-jack.
