It wasn't long ago that UA was regularly flying DC-10s EWR-ORD. Of course DEN, LAX and SFO had widebodies too from EWR on CO (AB3, D10) and UA (D10, 767). Now it is 737 central at EWR. Best bet for an interesting plane for a domestic flight are the int'l 757s to Florida.
