I think both SK and LH longhaul C are quite OK. Not spectacular, they both have their shortcomings, but they do their jobs fine without too much of a pain for the travellers.

But of course they can't compete with some of the fabulous airlines in Asia.

As for the BKK flight I have taken late night flights on both SK C CPH-BKK and LH C FRA-BKK. They leave roughly at the same time around 10.40 pm.
On LH C you get a full meal service with cocktails and separate dishes (2 hours) whereas SK C will do a quicker meal service on one tray to allow more sleep (1 hour maximum).
I'm not sure which one I prefer, the optimal would be to have two service concepts, a quick one for those who want to sleep, and a longer one who want to get a full meal service.
But maybe that would be too complicated to handle...?!
